The Fire

Of 2007

OUR HISTORY –     Another Setback

June 22, 2007 marked another milestone in the history of Rose Home Hardware. Upon arriving at work, employees discovered a small fire at the front of the store. In spite of efforts to extinguish it, the fire quickly spread and the fate of the building was once again left in the capable hands of the Fire Department. The blaze was contained after a couple of hours, leaving the business without a home.

A fire sale was conducted within two weeks in the appliance showroom building with great success.

On August 4, 2007, a temporary store was then set up in the showroom building to continue to service the community with basic hardware and to keep our staff employed.  This location also served as the headquarters for the planning and construction of the new store.  The temporary store remained open until mid April 2008, when the newly rebuilt store was opened.
